About Us
Experience That Helps Businesses Move Forward
Altamar Professional Services was built around a simple belief: businesses don't always need another full-time employee or a traditional consultant. Sometimes they need experienced professionals who understand the problem, can step in quickly, and know how to get things done.
We bring decades of hands-on experience in business management, financial operations, construction, project execution, and administrative support to help businesses solve problems, improve performance, strengthen profitability, and build stronger operations.
Our Story
Built From Experience Inside the Business
Altamar Professional Services grew from decades of experience working inside the businesses we now serve. Between us, we have managed companies, led financial and accounting operations, worked with contractors and manufacturers, managed projects, developed customer and vendor relationships, and dealt firsthand with the challenges of operating and growing a business.
Over the years, we saw the same need repeatedly. Good businesses often encounter problems or opportunities that require experienced help—but not necessarily another full-time employee. A company may need help improving profitability, strengthening financial controls, fixing an inefficient process, managing a difficult project, catching up on critical work, or simply gaining an experienced outside perspective on where the business can improve.
Altamar was created to provide that experience when and where it's needed. We combine practical business management, financial, construction, and operational experience with a hands-on approach focused on understanding the situation, solving the right problem, and helping the client move forward.
Our goal is simple: leave the business stronger than we found it.
Meet the Managing Partners

David King
Managing Partner
David King brings more than three decades of experience managing businesses and leading operations across construction, building materials, sales, and project management to Altamar Professional Services. Throughout his career, David has been responsible for people, processes, financial performance, customer relationships, and the day-to-day decisions required to operate and grow a business. That experience has given him a practical understanding of the challenges business owners and managers face—and the importance of having good information, strong processes, and the right people focused on the right priorities.
His experience spans business operations, sales leadership, human resources, payroll, budgeting, financial management, KPI development and performance tracking, purchasing, logistics, vendor management, customer relationships, pricing strategy, and project management. David has held significant P&L responsibility, including leadership of a South Florida region with approximately $150 million in annual business, where he was accountable for financial performance, operational execution, growth, and overall results. He has also been involved in multiple ERP system implementations, providing firsthand experience with the process, operational, and organizational challenges involved in introducing new business systems and integrating them into day-to-day operations. His background also includes extensive experience in construction and building materials, including estimating, bidding, procurement, project execution, documentation, and material coordination. Working across multiple functions and levels of responsibility has given David a broad understanding of how the different parts of a business work together—and how decisions in one area can affect performance throughout the organization.
David's approach to consulting is practical and results-focused. He works with owners and managers to identify opportunities, solve problems, improve processes, control costs, strengthen margins, and make better business decisions. Rather than simply addressing the issue in front of him, David looks at the broader business to understand what is driving the problem and where meaningful improvements can be made. Whether the challenge involves operations, people, financial performance, pricing, purchasing, sales, logistics, systems, project execution, or overall business strategy, his focus is the same: helping clients build stronger, more efficient, and more profitable businesses.

Stormye King
Managing Partner
Stormye King brings more than 25 years of experience in accounting, financial management, business operations, and administrative leadership to Altamar Professional Services. Throughout her career, she has held bookkeeping, accounting management, project accounting, and controller-level roles, overseeing critical financial functions, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business operations. Her background gives her firsthand insight into the challenges owners face when financial information is incomplete, processes are inefficient, or administrative demands divert attention from running and growing a business.
Her expertise spans full-cycle accounting, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, cash flow management, job costing, Work-in-Progress analysis, AIA billing, contract administration, compliance, procurement, and project coordination. Stormye has identified missed or underbilled revenue, recovered aging receivables, reconciled complex accounts, resolved billing discrepancies, and restored order to incomplete or backlogged financial records. She has also improved accounting procedures and reporting practices while supporting implementations of construction ERP systems, human capital management and payroll platforms, and construction management software—helping align technology with financial requirements, workflows, and project operations. Although much of her career has focused on commercial construction, her experience extends to manufacturing, healthcare, and small businesses, giving her insight into the distinct operational and financial needs of different industries.
Stormye's consulting approach is practical, detail-oriented, and results-focused. She understands that sound financial management requires more than accurate books; it depends on reliable information, consistent processes, accountability, and identifying problems before they escalate. She works with owners and managers to resolve discrepancies, improve financial visibility, strengthen procedures, and reduce administrative burdens. Whether the need involves financial cleanup and recovery, accounting oversight, process improvement, project accounting, business systems implementation, or ongoing financial and administrative support, her goal is the same: helping clients gain greater control over their finances, operate more efficiently, and make informed decisions that support long-term business success.
